Founded in 2008 by Marion Barber Jr., Marion Barber III, and Dominique Barber, The Barber Foundation strives to provide much-needed assistance for the ever-growing needs of America's underprivileged youth. In the two years since the foundation's inception, over 300 kids have attended The Barber Foundation's annual free youth football camp at Minneapolis North High School, in Minneapolis, MN. Additionally, both Dom and Marion III have committed to spreading positive messages to Minnesotan and Texan youth by speaking at school and corporate engagements across the country. In partnership with The Jack Brewer Foundation, The Barber Foundation has also supported several international initiatives to spur education and provide increased food security for orphaned children in Malawi, Africa.
In an effort to continue the Barber Family pledge to assist disadvantaged youth, The Barber Foundation launched a new partnership in Fall 2009 with Group Excellence, the number one tutoring company in Texas. Through this new alliance, both Marion Barber III and Dom Barber will be teaming up with Group Excellence to conduct inspirational speeches to students regarding such topics as committing to excellence, living drug free, and the importance of education.
